Celebrating the Support of BIPC Sussex: A Beacon for Aspiring Entrepreneurs!

Starting a business can feel like navigating a maze, especially when you have no prior experience. That’s why I want to take a moment to applaud and express my gratitude for the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Sussex. I only found out about them this spring but their unwavering support and dedication to helping people like me bring dreams to life is nothing short of incredible.

From the insightful workshops to the invaluable 1-to-1 consultations from some amazing experts in their fields, BIPC Sussex has been a cornerstone of my entrepreneurial journey. It’s remarkable that these resources are available to anyone and for free! A huge thank you to Gemma and Clarence, whose warmth and patience at the front desk always make the process easier. Whether it’s answering questions or offering guidance, they go above and beyond to help every visitor.

Tools for Growth and Resilience

Today, on November 18, I attended a transformative Stress and Anxiety Management workshop hosted by BIPC Sussex by Margaret from Mind Tamers. The session was a revelation, offering simple but effective tools to calm the nervous system, tools I desperately needed during a challenging time. It was fantastic and we all came away feeling happy:) It's also a great place to network and meet people from different walks of life. 

As someone who’s faced unexpected hurdles even before launching my brand, such as a notice of threatened opposition from a very successful company, content copying, and disappointing collaborations, I can’t overstate how important it is to find ways to stay grounded. This workshop was a reminder that resilience is key, and no external pressure can derail you when you’re aligned with your purpose.

Lessons from the Journey

Through these challenges, I’ve learned some invaluable lessons:

• Don't take kindness as a weakness. You must stand firm in your boundaries and values.
• Your lane is yours alone. Let others take shortcuts; it doesn’t change your path.
• Knowledge is power. What BIPC Sussex provides, legal insights, marketing tips, and practical business advice, is foundational for anyone starting out.

Thanks to their support, I feel more equipped than ever to pursue my goals, even as I balance returning to employment and being a single mother. I've had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people in different areas of business and they have all been so understanding, helpful and invaluable, thank you guys!

They have many around the country so please if you want to get started but don't know how, they can help you! They’ve given me confidence and clarity to navigate the complexities of starting a business. I am so grateful for their work, and I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.

To BIPC Sussex: Thank you for empowering entrepreneurs, for believing in the dreams of so many, and for being a guiding light in what can be an overwhelming journey. I’ll forever be a champion of what you do and look forward to continuing to grow with the knowledge and support you’ve shared.
