Child running on football pitch to the football for fun

Share the Joy

The joys of looking after a little one is that you can enjoy the things you used to do as a child! Or maybe along your journey you've learned something new that you love and you're introducing it to them! What might that be? What do you like doing together for fun, relaxation, tradition or simply like to do as a family? Of course, little ones find their own passions and activities they love and we should encourage them but what is that special something you share together?

Whilst growing up with 3 brothers, you could find us all at the local park playing football and my eldest brother playing basketball day in, day out. Now, this is something I enjoy doing with my son every single day as he loves it as much as I did! We play football and I do not get bored of it whatsoever, we have so much fun together and it definitely knackers us out! What is a physical hobby from your childhood, that you now actively share with your little one? We also love a good  nature walk whether it be in the countryside or at the beach, such a beautiful and calming time.

My love for children's books is strong as you all know and that's definitely been highlighted even more since becoming a parent. It's one of the most enjoyable hobbies we share and again we love doing this everyday! Reading brings us closer together and I'm noticing his vocabulary expanding as well as his comprehension of them (proud mum:) What are your favourite books that you enjoyed as a child and now share with your little one? Have you gone as far back as your parent's or grandparent's favourite children's books? There are so many books out there with beautiful illustrations, words and stories, let us know your favourite so we can share them with others in a future blog post!

Something I didn't do much growing up as a child but I love to do and I am slowly introducing to my little one is cooking and baking! Recipes are endless, tasty, nutritious and I argue that the love and time that goes into it, matters the most! With every chop, stir and serve should be careful attention with a grateful heart to eat it. Whilst making the food we love playing all different kinds of music and having a good ol' boogie, feels so good for the soul:D What meals are a tradition in your culture and household? What recipes would you like to pass on to your little ones to enjoy in their future families? Food as well as rest is so important to a child's development as you can read here at https://www.unicef.org/nutrition/early-childhood-nutrition

We hope that the food crisis in Gaza comes to an end and the aid can safely gets into the region to feed the people. A third of our profits will go to the Pious Projects, Emergency Relief when you buy one of our 'My Little Bilingual Books' or our 'My Little Everything Journals'. It's only a small amount but every little bit helps, thank you.

Peace and Love
