✨E is for Everything✨
At My Little Everything, the E at the heart of our logo is more than just a letter, it’s a symbol for everything we stand for. Surrounding our iconic trademark are the words that inspire us everyday💫 The idea of “little” in our brand is rooted in the beauty of things smaller than us, yet carrying an outsized impact. It’s an intentional oxymoron, small in appearance but monumental in meaning just like our little ones with their big hearts❤️🥰✨This is our philosophy. Our big E isn’t just part of our name; it’s a reflection of our purpose, passion and the values that connect us!✨What does the letter E mean to you? Share your favourite E word with us below and us know😃🙏✨#mylittleverything #logo #meaning #love #deeperthanthesurface #little #equals #big #impact #e #words #betteryouknow #entrepreneur #somethingmoneycantbuy #evolvetogether #togodbetheglory
This was our post that we created in 2024, we wanted to update it and pin it on the 6th of January 2025. The day of Epiphany because that's exactly what it is. I never expected to write this blog. It’s not the kind of thing I planned to share, but when something so personal gets taken and repackaged by a giant, you can’t just sit quiet.
We created My Little Everything with love. It’s not just a name, it’s a whole philosophy. A way of seeing the world, of celebrating the smallest people and the smallest moments in our lives, the ones that mean the most. The oversized “E” in our logo is intentional. It stands for everything: empathy, early years, epiphany, emotion, eternity, and more. It's pinned on our Instagram and tied to the day of Epiphany, January 6th, symbolising a spiritual gift, just like the baby Jesus. Every part of this brand was and is made with care.
It’s all born from lived experience, from a real, raw feeling that is so deep, it's hard to describe. That sacred, unexplainable moment when a baby is born. That overwhelming, natural high where you suddenly realise something so tiny could be the most wonderful, important, beautiful thing in the world. It’s about the truth of human life, whether you’ve had a baby, you’ve sadly lost one, are longing for one, or simply remember that you were once one too. It’s everything. And if they only knew what that means to me, to others, they’d understand why this hurts.
On Sunday, while driving back home, I heard something that I was supposed to hear. A Tesco ad was playing on the radio. It talked about caring for strawberries in the day and at night with the sound of an owl hooting in the background. The same kind of language and concept we also created around day and night care for babies, with our little glowlets which we’ve used to describe the quiet, sacred moments between a parent and child. And then the words:
"It’s not a little thing. It’s everything."
It was like hearing our song on the radio being played by someone else, I couldn’t believe it! I got in and had to see it for myself, Tesco’s new campaign, they launched 3 months ago in February and a recent baby 'first' ad, our emotional tone, the visuals, the language, the concept and even the billboard of a giant picture of a mushroom labelled “earthy”, and "Loved" on their bags for life, it's all there. This campaign isn’t just similar, it echoes our voice and our meaning. Someone had seen our work and studied it. We have since learned that the campaign presented to Tesco was created by BHH, Bartle Bogle Hegarty a leading global marketing agency, who appears to have studied our brand in detail and repackaged key elements without our involvement or consent.
While Tesco is a billion-pound company, we are so little, there’s the oxymoron and paradox in itself! We have 49 followers, (thank you guys:) but that doesn’t mean our ideas, our words, our meaning, should be taken without acknowledgement. Someone online wrote, “I love the new Tesco ads, but I just wish it wasn’t for Tesco. It feels somewhat disconnected” And that’s exactly what it is, because it belongs to My Little Everything not Tescos.
I shop there with my little one and yes, food is important, most definitely that is true but people are, the early years are and their experiences. We’ve written about this before: there are people around the world that are literally starving, heartbreakingly for food but also for love, presence, and connection. That’s the heart of what we stand for, babies, toddlers, little ones, parents, caregivers who shape our days and lives.
Tesco might be using that phrase to talk about food and it could be for the next 7 years like their last campaign, but that’s not where this started, this started with our story, our little brand with our big belief in the power of little things, that they are never just little. They are life-changing. They are unforgettable. They are everything.
They flipped our message. It's very clear what My Little Everything stands for. Their line, “It’s not a little thing. It’s everything”, turns that upside down. As an English language teacher, I know this isn’t accidental. It’s strategic, a calculated reversal that reframes our message. They took our heart and used it against us. That’s not creativity, that’s marketing manipulation.
However, the biggest positive from this? Something real resonates and it reaches.
When something is born from truth, from real life and real love, it echoes. It travels. It lands in places you never expected, even in the hands of giants! We might be small, but our message isn’t. It was never just about branding or business, it was about heart and life. About the sacred power of the “little things” that are actually everything. And now we know for sure: that message resonates far beyond us. That’s the gift in all of this. That’s the epiphany.
